Incredible loss

It is with a heavy heart that today I announce the death of abilio’s Founder, Jessica. In 2014 Jessica established abilio to give greater independence to People with Disabilities (PwD). As a person with an invisible disability herself, Jessica was always researching, advocating and fighting for what she believed was right- in and out of abilio.

Establishing apps and information on public transport, accessibility, giving talks, and organising events- her work reverberated into commercial rideshare companies, healthcare organisations and governments with changes and raising awareness based on her experience and input.

In addition to her amazing work in accessibility for the transport sector, Jessica has been a tireless advocate and advisor, in the health sector too. Generously sharing her insights and expertise, Jessica has worked with medical staff and patients, to improve accessibility and inclusion more broadly.

I am devastated at the loss of this amazing unstoppable human, co-founder and friend, and will continue to do what I can to progress her vision and legacy of making life accessible.

Steve King, abilio.
